How to package
All common carriers require that you package it. Of course, the best way is to place it in a mattress bag then place it in a mattress box. But this is not always possible. No matter how you package it, you should use a bag first. This keeps any dust and dirt from getting on your mattress. If you can’t find a bag, then use lots of bubble wrap and tape. Second, you can tear up old boxes and just wrap and tape them around the mattress. It doesn’t have to look pretty; it just has to cover the mattress. Now some carriers will let you use those cheap blue or green plastic tarps. You should still wrap the mattress in plastic (a bag or bubble wrap) then just spread out the tarp on the floor and lay the mattress in the center or the tarp. Fold it around the mattress and tape it securely.
