How to ship Power Sport Equipment

How to package
Anymore, most carriers require that these items to be crated. A cheaper way is to build a slot crate. Find a pallet that is large enough for the item to completely set inside the area of the pallet. Then cut 1 by 2’s or 1 by 4’s to make the slot crate. Attach 2 vertically to each corner and then start attaching them horizontally to the uprights. You can leave a board’s width open between each board thereby making slots. This reduces the number of boards needed and also reduces the weight. Wrap equipment in plastic before enclosing it. Some shippers place a cardboard cone on top of the crate to prevent the carrier from stacking something on top of your crate. Best to label crate as ” Do not stack on”.
